The Gospel Is The Good News That Jesus Met Every Requirement Necessary…

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus met every requirement necessary for our salvation. The good news that He lived a sinless life of absolute perfection for us because we would never be capable of living that life for ourselves (Hebrews 4:15). The good news that He died a sacrificial death on the cross, not for His sins since He didn’t have any, but for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21) (Colossians 2:14). The good news that His death wasn’t the end; the good news that three days later God raised Jesus from the dead. The same Jesus who had been crucified was resurrected (Luke 24:5-7) (Acts 2:24).

The reason that is great news for us is, it assures us that salvation is not just something we can “hope” for, but salvation is something we can actually experience by placing our full faith in what Jesus has already done.

The good news of the Gospel abolishes the false concept of “do good” and “try harder.” Romans 8:3 is true, “For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for our sin…” Galatians 2:8-9 are also true, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” The Gospel is good news because it doesn’t doom you to hopeless trying, but it opens the doors of sin’s prison through believing and trusting.

The road to salvation doesn’t start with “I need to”, rather the road to salvation starts with “Jesus I believe you have already accomplished everything necessary for me to be saved.” The Gospel truly is great news! And no matter where you are right now or what you’re going through you can call out on Jesus who is an all sufficient Savior. There is no sin you’ve ever committed that His blood can’t cover, and no wrong you’ve ever done that His grace can’t redeem.

Romans 10:3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Jesus is our only hope of Salvation. Turn from your sin and trust in Jesus today.
